Natalie Performance
Our Wellness Director, Natalie put on quite a performance for our Members! She sang some traditional Christmas songs and Heritage Gospel Music while Cedrick Frazier joined her on the piano! Attendees really enjoyed this event and loved listening to Natalie share her incredible voice with us!
The King
We recently welcomed “The King”, Elvis Presley to Marsh’s Edge for a fun performance to celebrate his 86th birthday! Jeff Keener from Keener Entertainment a very talented team member in our Home Office loves educating our Members about The King! We utilized our new safe barrier on our stage so Elvis could deliver his concert at a safe distance.
Vaccine
We proudly welcomed CVS Health back to Marsh’s Edge for our 2nd clinic for our 1st round of vaccinations today! We’re so proud to be doing our part to keep our Members safe and stop the spread of the virus.
Heated Pool
When the temperatures get chilly, our Members are still able to enjoy the warmth of our indoor heated pool! Throughout the week we host a variety of wellness classes in the pool using the water as resistance. In addition, our Members have free swim where they can enjoy swimming to mix up their wellness routine.
Low Country Boil
Our Members recently enjoyed a Low Country Boil lunch! Our event was supposed to be outside to enjoy our beautiful property! But Mother Nature was not on our side, so we moved our lunch indoors! It was a delicious meal as well as a fun way to eat and socialize with friends!
Murder Mystery Dinner
Last week we hosted our first Murder Mystery Dinner and it definitely will not be the last! The juice joint was hopping, but there was danger looming as one of the guest’s life was in danger, and one of the guests would be the murderer! It was the ultimate game of Who Dunnit? Members were each assigned a character, and it was up to them to put together a costume and act out their persona! Members enjoyed Shrimp Cocktail, and a feast of Cornish Game Hen, with Roaster Veggies and A Cranberry Glaze. There was drama to be had as the night went on. Guests questioned each other, bribed each other, and accused each other to find the truth! After all the evidence was presented the each had to decide who they thought the murderer was! Members also voted on Best Dressed, Best Actor, and who had gotten the most money from their fellow dinner mates.
Ladies Lunch
Our January ladies’ lunch was a huge hit! The ladies enjoyed their choice of Shrimp Quiche, with arugula salad and house-made balsamic vinaigrette OR Chicken BLT with avocado and house-made potato chips! Each attendee draws a number when they arrive to know which table they are sitting at, this is a great way for people to get to know each other! To top off our lunch ladies enjoyed homemade peach pound cake with whipped cream and strawberry garnish! YUM!
North Pole
Live from the North Pole, we welcomed Santa Claus for breakfast with our Members!! Attendees enjoyed a holiday waffle bar with toppings and it was delicious!! Thanks to our protective shield, Members were able to safely have their picture made with Santa and we’re proud to report that they were all made the nice list this year! Merry Christmas!
