Top 5 Social Events of 2020

1. Around The World For A Cause

On October 2nd, Marsh’s Edge hosted an ‘Around the World for a Cure’ Fundraising Event! To adhere to social distancing guidelines, small groups of 6 Members traveled around the world together! Spaced appropriately apart, each stop offered the opportunity to enjoy food and beverage unique to that destination. Additionally, they learned a series of facts about each stop to help enhance their understanding of the country’s culture. The Around The World Tour began in “The Big Apple” – New York City! Attendees then boarded planes at the John F. Kennedy airport and traveled to Mexico, Argentina, Japan, Korea, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Italy, Germany, and ending in the ‘City of Love’ – Paris, France. Our world travelers dined on tacos, yakitori, hummus, homemade gelato, and more! Additionally, they had the opportunity to try new and unique beverages like the Prickly Pear Margarita to Jagermeister and others. Those who attended filled their passports with all of the stops were entered into a drawing for a $100 Gift Card. There were also pop quizzes throughout their journey for a chance to win other prizes. Altogether, our Members raised $2,700 towards our goal for the Alzheimer’s Association and had a great time doing it.

Attendees were safely distanced and wore masks. Some of these events included dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Pot Pie, Pasta Making, Southern Breakfasts and more!
